FINNIE QUESTIONS DELAY OF FERRY REVIEW

Written by Ross Finnie on Mon 8th Feb 2010

West of Scotland Liberal Democrat MSP Ross Finnie has questioned the delay of the review of Scotland's Ferry Services until after the next Scottish Parliament Elections.

Commenting Mr Finnie said:

"I really have to question the Scottish Governments reasoning for postponing the Review of Scotland's Ferry Services. The Review affects ferry routes across Scotland and has been delayed long enough by the Scottish Government.

"The delay only continues the uncertainty over the Gourock to Dunoon Service and leaves the future of the Calmac Facilities and offices at the site equally in doubt.

"The people of Gourock deserve an answer to this long running saga sooner rather than later."
