ZERO TOLERANCE ON HAND WASHING SHOULD BE EXTENDED TO VISITORS - FINNIEWritten by Ross Finnie on Wed 25th Mar 2009 ZERO TOLERANCE ON HAND WASHING SHOULD BE EXTENDED TO VISITORS - FINNIE Commenting on the latest re-announcement of the SNP`s campaign to crack down on hospital hygiene, Liberal Democrat Health spokesperson Ross Finnie MSP said: "Whilst any measures to tackle poor hospital hygiene are welcome, there is not much new in this announcement. Ministers are still failing to get tough enough with visitors to hospitals. "The zero tolerance approach for non-compliance with hand hygiene procedures for NHS staff should be extended to visitors."
