West of Scotland Liberal Democrat MSP Ross Finnie has praised the work of staff and pupils at St Luke's High School in Barrhead.
In a report published by the HM Inspectorate of Education (HMIE) St Luke's High School received four excellent ratings and one very good rating. The highly effective leadership, the Schools curriculum, meeting learning needs and improvements in performance were also praised in the report.
"I was very impressed by the exceptional report on St Luke's High School by the HM Inspectorate of Education.
"This excellent report is a testament to the hardworking teachers and staff at the School, who provide the highly effective leadership and the Schools excellent curriculum.
"The School also provides a wonderful platform to further education with a high number of pupils leaving School to attend University or College.
"St Luke's High School is one of Scotland's leading Schools and sets the bench mark for other Schools to aspire too."
