West of Scotland Liberal Democrat MSP Ross Finnie has praised the work of staff and pupils at Gryffe High School in Renfrewshire.
In a report published by the HM Inspectorate of Education (HMIE) Gryffe High School received four very good ratings and one good rating. The Strong Curriculum in and out of the classroom and the outstanding level of SQA awards gained were also praised in the report.
"I was very pleased by the report by the HM Inspectorate of Education on Gryffe High School.
"This report highlights the hard work of the teachers and staff at Gryffe High who provide a high standard of teaching and support to their pupils.
"Although what impressed me most about this report was the outstanding level of SQA awards gained by pupils and the head teacher's determination to maintain and improve his already successful School.
"If Gryffe High continues to improve as the head teacher plans, it will become on the best Schools in the country."
